Former two time middleweight title contender Chael Sonnen was ready to take a fight with UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones on eight day notice to save the UFC 151 card, which was scheduled to take place next weekend in Las Vegas.
However, Jones turned down the fight after Greg Jackson told him that it would be the biggest mistake of his career to take on a fighter like Sonnen on such short notice.
After the UFC officially announced that UFC 151 had been cancelled, Sonnen went on a special edition of “UFC Tonight” on FUEL TV to address this situation. He called Jones a “selfish,entitled brat” and did not understand why the champion was unwilling to take the fight.
