The co-main event of next week’s Bellator 162 will be a heavyweight bout as Josh Appelt will return to the promotion to meet Bobby Lashley on the fight card coming from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
Appelt (12-5) has won back to back fights and has gone 3-1 in Bellator. His most recent victory came in January as he defeated Roy Boughton and was scheduled to fight Sergei Kharitonov earlier this year in Bellator. However, the fight was canceled during fight week when Kharitonov had to pull out of the fight due to illness.
