After being rocked early in the first round, Donald Cerrone knocked out Melvin Guillard and is the favorite to win the knockout of the night bonus.
This is the second knockout of Cerrone’s career and is likely one win away from getting a title shot.
Guillard dropped Cerrone (19-4, 1NC) early in the first round, but Cerrone was able to scramble and not get finished. Cerrone then rocked Guillard (30-11-2, 1NC) with kick and then finished him with a right hand.
Cerrone has now won two straight fights since losing to Nate Diaz at UFC 141 and has won eight of his last nine fights. Guillard has now lost three of his last four fights and this is his first career lost by knockout.
