UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo was involved in a motorcycle accident over the weekend in Brazil.
The news of the accident was reported by Tatame and the UFC champion walked away from the accident with only a few scratches and a swollen foot. According to the Tatame report, Aldo’s coach said the accident will not caused him to pull out of his UFC 153.
Aldo (21-1) spoke to UOL Esporte’s Mauricio Deho about the accident and it’s not a big deal. “Yes, I had a motorcycle accident, but it was no big deal,” Aldo said. “No, there’s no problem. I’m going to the gym right now.”
Aldo will defend his featherweight title in the main event of UFC 153 against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro on October 13th.
