The UFC has added a light heavyweight bout to UFC on FUEL TV 7 on February 16th in London as Ryan Jimmo will face James Te Huna.
UFC officials announced the fight booking overnight and the bout is likely to take place on the main card on FUEL TV.
Jimmo (17-1) was signed by the UFC last year and was set to make his debut at UFC on FX, but he had to pull out of the fight with an injury. He would end up making his UFC debut in July at UFC 149 and won the knockout of the night bonus when he defeated Anthony Perosh in seven seconds.
He is currently on a 17 fight winning streak, with his only lost coming in his professional debut in 2007. Prior to entering the UFC, he was the Maximum Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion, which is a promotion that is based in Canada.
Te Huna (15-4) has won four of his five fights in the UFC and is currently on a three fight winning streak. His only lost in the UFC came at UFC 127 in Australia, when he was defeated by Alexander Gustafsson by submission in the first round.
During his recent three fight winning streak, two of his wins are by knockout and he is coming off a decision victory at UFC on FUEL TV 4 against Joey Beltran, which he won the fight of the night bonus.
UFC on FUEL TV 7 takes place on February 16th at Wembley Arena in London and will be headlined by Renan Barao defending the interim UFC bantamweight title against Michael McDonald.
