A welterweight bout has been added to UFC on FOX 8 on July 27th in Seattle as Rory MacDonald will return from an injury and will face Jake Ellenberger.
UFC officials announced the fight on Wednesday and the fight will most likely take place on the main card broadcast on FOX.
MacDonald (14-1) has won five of his six fights in the UFC and is currently on a four fight winning streak. He was scheduled to face Carlos Condit in the co-main event of UFC 158, but had to pull out of the fight with an injury.
Ellenberger (29-6) is 8-2 in the UFC and has won seven of his last eight fights, which includes a knockout victory over Nate Marquardt at UFC 158 last month. Five of his last seven wins have come by TKO/KO and has won a fight night bonus in three of his last five fights.
UFC on FOX 8 takes place on July 27th from KeyArena in Seattle, Washington and the main event for the fight card and on sale ticket date is expected to be announced by the UFC shortly.
