Erick Silva is one of the top welterweight prospects in the UFC and he only needed 71 seconds to submit Jason High with an armbar. 
The bout opened with High being the aggressor but Silva was able to take the fight to the ground. Once on the ground, Silva looked for a rear-naked choke but transition to an armbar and finished the fight shortly after.
Silva (15-3, 1NC) is now 3-2 in the UFC and all three of his victories in the UFC have come in the first round with two of the wins coming by submission.
