The medical suspensions for this past Friday night’s World Series of Fighting 3 event in Las Vegas have been released and nine of the fighters on the card received a suspension including headlining fighter Josh Burkman and Jon Fitch.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the medical suspension on Tuesday afternoon.
World Series of Fighting 3 took place at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and the main card was broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network.
Burkman received a 90 day suspension from the commission and he must have his middle finger on his right hand x-rayed and clear by a doctor. Fitch received a 45 day suspension with no contact for 30 days due to a right eyebrow laceration.
The complete WSOF 3 medical suspensions are below:
- Josh Burkman: Suspended 90 days and must have middle finger on right hand x-rayed and cleared by doctor
- Jon Fitch: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days (right eyebrow laceration)
- Tyson Steele: Suspended 21 days with no contact for 14 days
- Brian Cobb: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days; additionally, must have left knee cleared by doctor or no contest for 180 days
- Jeff Smith: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days. Also, must have right ribs and nose cleared by doctors or no contest for 180 days
- Lyle Beerbohm: Must have right foot x-rayed and cleared by doctor or no contest for 180 days
- Joe Murphy: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days (right knee pain)
- Kendrick Miree: Must have left foot x-rayed and cleared by doctor or no contest for 180 days
- Richard Montalvo: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days (left cheek laceration)
