A pair of bouts have been added to UFC Fight for the Troops 3 on November 6th as Ultimate Fighter winners Michael Chiesa and Colton Smith will meet in a lightweight bout and Nik Lentz faces Dennis Bermudez in a featherweight bout.
UFC officials announced the matchups on Friday and it was not announced whether the fights will take place on the main or preliminary card.
UFC Fight for the Troops 3 will take place on November 6th from Fort Campbell, Kentucky and will be headlined by Lyoto Machida making his UFC middleweight debut against Tim Kennedy.
Chiesa (9-1) won The Ultimate Fighter 15 and recently suffered his first career defeat at UFC on FOX 8 when Jorge Masvidal defeated him by submission in the second round. Smith (3-2) was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 16 and he will also enter this fight following a defeat as Robert Whittaker stopped him by TKO in the third round at UFC 160.
Lentz (24-5-2) has won three straight since dropping down to the featherweight division and his most recent victory came at UFC on FX 8 as he defeated Hacran Dias by unanimous decision. Bermudez (11-3) is on a four fight winning streak and his last two wins have come by split decision with the most recent victory coming against Max Holloway at UFC 160.
