The UFC has officially announced that Carlos Condit will be facing off against Tyron Woodley at UFC 171 in Dallas.
Earlier in the week, UFC President, Dana White, stated that he offered the Condit fight to to Nick Diaz, but he was not interested.
Woodley and Jake Ellenberger also expressed heavy interest in the contest to White, including text messages and other things, but White was originally hesitant to book either, but that has since changed.
The UFC has since confirmed via Twitter that the bout will go onto the stacked welterweight main card at UFC 171 in Dallas.
Condit (29-7) is coming off a fourth round TKO victory over Martin Kampmann at UFC Fight Night 27 back in August and is looking to keep pace in the welterweight division.
Woodley (12-2) is also coming off an extremely impressive KO victory over crafty veteran Josh Koscheck at UFC 167.
The current UFC 171 card is below:

Carlos Condit vs. Tyron Woodley
Hector Lombard vs. Jake Shields
