Bellator 122 will be the second 2014 Summer Series show and the fight card is now officially set for July 25th at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.
The fight card was announced by Bellator on Monday afternoon and will be headlined by the season ten middleweight and welterweight tournament finals.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting Pechanga.com, Bellator.com, or by calling the Pechanga Box Office at 877-711-2946 or visiting between noon and 8 p.m. daily.
The main event will be the middleweight final between Brett Cooper and Brandon Hasley. This fight was initially scheduled to take place earlier this month, but a back injury to Cooper forced the fight to be delayed.
“My injury was a setback, but with some time off I feel great heading into this fight,” Cooper said. I am stronger and couldn’t be more excited to get back into the cage. I’m looking forward to winning another tournament and getting another shot against Shlemenko.”
The welterweight tournament final will decide who will challenged newly crown Bellator champion Douglas Lima first as former title challenger Andrey Koreshkov will face undefeated American Adam McDonough. Koreshkov has won both of his fights in this tournament by knockout and McDonough understands that he is facing one of the best welterweights in Bellator.
“Andre Koreshkov is one of the best welterweights in the world and I’ve got a lot of respect for him, he is an exciting fighter and dynamic finisher,” McDonough said. “However he is standing in the way of me getting one step closer to the belt. I can assure you Bellator MMA fans are not going to want to miss this fight!”
More details on this event will be announced by Bellator in the coming weeks.
