A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 185 on March 14 in Dallas as Daron Cruickshank will meet Beneil Dariush in a fight that will likely be on the televised preliminary card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Thursday morning.
UFC 185 will come from the American Airlines Center on March 14th and will be headlined by Anthony Pettis defending the UFC lightweight title against Rafael dos Anjos.
Cruickshank (16-5, 1NC) has gone 3-1, 1NC in his last five fights and is coming off a no-contest in December against K.J. Noons when he was poked in the eye in the opening moments of the second round. Nine of his sixteen wins have come by knockout, including two of his last three wins.
Dariush (9-1) has won back to back fights and three of his four fights in the UFC. He has five career submission victories and two of those have come in the UFC. His most recent victory came at UFC 179 as he won a decision against Carlo Diego Ferreira.
