Bantamweight Jose Torres made his pro debut last month and he will be looking for his second professional victory as he will take on Reynaldo Walter Duarte at Titan FC 38 on April 30 in South Florida.
Torres (1-0) won his professional debut against Travis Taylor by submission at Titan FC 37 and he was a guest on yesterday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast” to talk about his upcoming fight. Along with discussing his upcoming fight at Titan FC 38, Torres talked about his recent trip overseas with Titan FC to visit the troops and stated how the whole experience was humbling.
“It’s something I always wanted to do and I idolize a lot of people who go over there to support the troops,” Torres said. “For me, my coach is a former Marine recon so he is always talking military, military, military. But that is all I knew from what people talked about. When I finally went overseas and given that I have been over there before with Bahrain and Kuwait.”
“But when I finally went to there bases and camps,” he continued. “Got to hang out with them and here there stories. Hear why they joined the military or how long they have been in it or how long they have been away from home. It’s definitely humbling and makes you respect them so much more. It taught me a lot.”
