Heading into tonight’s RFA 37 main event, Devin Clark talks about dealing with adversity in MMA and life

The vacant RFA light heavyweight title will be on the line tonight in the main event of RFA 37 coming from the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as Devin Clark fights in his home state against Rafael Viana.

Clark (5-0) has gone 3-0 in RFA and his most recent win came in August of last year as he won a decision against Dervin Lopez. On yesterday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Clark talked about dealing with adversity in life and mixed martial arts.

“Fighting wise, my last fight, I almost got choked out twice,” Clark said. “I overcame that and ended up winning the fight. That is definitely the biggest adversity I have been through in fights. But in life, I’ve had plenty of adversity to overcome. When you compare the two, it’s not really — not all that comparable. Life is much harder. A fight is a fight. The adversity you deal in with life makes it easier for fighting and overcoming stuff in the fight.”
