Bellator will be heading to the O2 Arena in London, England on July 16 for Bellator 158 and the event will be headlined by a heavyweight rematch between Kimbo Slice and James Thompson.
The fight booking was announced by Bellator President Scott Coker on Sunday evening on SportsCenter and the co-main event of the fight card will also be a rematch as Paul Daley meets Josh Koscheck.
Slice (5-2, 1NC) is currently under suspension by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) due to a positive drug test at Bellator 149 in February. He tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone and had an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratio. According to Coker, Slice was suspended 90 days by the TDLR and is schedule to come off suspension in May.
Thompson (20-16, 1NC) lost to Slice in their first meeting in May of 2008 and will enter this fight with back to back defeats. Both of those defeats have come by TKO, including a defeat in 54-seconds against Bobby Lashley at Bellator 145.
More details on Bellator 158: Kimbo vs. Thompson will be announced today in a press conference taking place in London.
