The professional debut of Annie DeCrescente will take place tomorrow night at Valor Fights 33 as she will meet Amy Coleman on the fight card coming from the Camp Jordan Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
DeCrescente was actually supposed to make her pro debut in February at Valor Fights 31, but her opponent pulled out of the fight with an injury. During Tuesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” DeCrescente explained her decision to turn professional after having twelve amateur fights.
“We actually have been trying to turn pro for five months or so,” DeCrescente explained. “But the whole idea was we tried to have a pretty extensive amateur career and fight as many girls as possible. Also, as many talented girls as possible so when we turned pro, we had already seen almost everything that is out there. At least have an idea about it so there were no big shocks turning pro. We just made the decision that it’s about time. Also, it gets really hard to get fights so there has to be a little extra incentive to get one which money tends to work for some people.”
