A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio as Mairbek Taisumov will look to continue his rise up the UFC lightweight rankings when he meets Nik Lentz in a bout that is likely to be placed on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday.
UFC 203 will come from the Quicken Loans Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Stipe Miocic defends the UFC heavyweight title against Alistair Overeem.
Taisumov (26-5) is currently on a four fight winning streak and he has won a Performance of the Night bonus in his last two fights. Both of those wins have come by TKO and his most recent victory came in April against Damir Hadžović. Lentz (26-7-2, 1NC) has alternated wins and losses in his last five fights. He returned to the lightweight division at the end of last year and scored a split decision victory against Danny Castillo.
