Signing with the WSOF was a simple decision for undefeated middleweight Phil Hawes

The WSOF debut of undefeated middleweight Phil Hawes will take place next week in Connecticut as he will meet Joshua Keys on the main card of WSOF 31.

Hawes (3-0) recently signed an exclusive, multi-fight deal with the Las Vegas based promotion and this will be his first official fight since defeating Brandon Collins by armbar submission at Global Knockout 2 in October of 2014.

During this past Friday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Hawes was a guest on the show to preview his WSOF debut against Keys. Along with previewing his fight next Friday night at the Foxwood Casino in Connecticut, Hawes explained why he decided that the WSOF was the best place for him to take his talents to next.

“It was a simple choice. I am young in my career and they were willing to give me an opportunity on a big stage to showcase my talent,” Hawes stated on The MMA Report Podcast. “They are helping me very well financially. Which being young and hungry help motivates so it seemed like everything added up and was the right place to go.”
