Will Brooks does not believe there is added pressure heading into UFC debut

The UFC debut of Will Brooks will take place next Friday night at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale as he is stepping up on short notice to meet Ross Pearson in a lightweight bout.

Brooks (17-1) was recently signed by the UFC after he was released from his contract with Bellator MMA and he enters this fight on an eight fight winning streak. His most recent win came in November against Marcin Held and during last night’s edition of “UFC Tonight” on FS1, Brooks was asked by if he feels any additional pressure heading into his UFC debut.

“Not at all. I’ve always been ready for this. I’ve been building myself for this,” Brooks said on UFC Tonight. “I knew at some point, this was going to happen. I was going to make it to the UFC and be where I belong. Now I am kind of have my homecoming. This is nothing new to me. I love this stuff. This is one of the things that I think a lot of guys don’t want to admit to. I want all of it. I want the attention. I want the praise. I want to work hard and earn it at the same time too. But I love all of it.”
