A women’s bantamweight bout that was initially reported by Combat Press is now official for UFC Fight Night 91 on July 13 in South Dakota as Lauren Murphy will Katlyn Chookagian on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was recently added to the official fight card lineup on the UFC website.
UFC Fight Night 91 will come from the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and will be headlined by a bantamweight bout as Michael McDonald will meet John Lineker.
Murphy (9-2) is coming off a Fight of the Night victory against Kelly Faszholz at UFC Fight Night 83 and the victory snapped a two fight losing streak. Seven of her nine wins have come by TKO/KO and both of her defeats have come by decision. Chookagian will be making her UFC debut in this bout and her most recent fight came at CFFC 57 as she defeated Stephanie Bragayrac by knockout. Three of her seven wins have come by stoppage and two of those victories have come by TKO/KO.
