Bellator has officially signed Lorenz Larkin. That is a very nice signing by Bellator. There are some solid matchups for him in Bellator, yet, my guess would be he is yet another legitimate welterweight that Bellator will not match up against Michael Venom Page. I would say Lorenz Larkin is more likely to be matched up against Fernando Gonzalez.

Another name to consider for Larkin’s Bellator debut would be Chidi Njokunai. I would also not rule out that he gets an immediate title shot. Obviously, that would depend on when Douglas Lima wants to return.

I have no faith in Douglas Lima. He has proven to be a injury prone fighter just by looking at his recent history the past couple of years.

Who do you think would win these fights: Lawler vs Lima? Condit vs Koreshkov? Larkin vs Cerrone? DC vs Bader? Shogun vs McGeary? Fedor vs Nelson? Larkin vs Shlemenko. Lima vs larkin? GSP vs Woodley? GSP vs Lawler?

Will Bellator have a tourney in the summer to crown a new heavyweight champ? Or will it be just a title fight? Like say Fedor vs Mitrione for the title.

I hope Lashley fights on the Mohegan Sun card. But I think he will be on the London one instead.

I think the Bellator London card on paper is better than UFC London card that happened yesterday. Hbu?

      – On your fantasy matchmaking, I will discuss that question on this week’s podcast so I can fully explain my picks.
      – In terms of heavyweight title, Bellator is being very quiet on there plans. However, I still expect a tournament at some point.
      – Lashley is scheduled to be on the London card. This was announced during the recent Bellator press conference in London.
      – On paper, I would agree that Bellator London card is better that UFC Fight Night 107. But we have to see how the fights play out to decide which one is better.

Btw UFC took more than 2 weeks to decline the Ryan Bader contract.

This will be Steve Kozala’s 3rd fight in Bellator at B-175. But they don’t have his fight history on his profile on their website. They also don’t have fight history’s for other fighters on their roster either.

I just don’t get why Bellator doesn’t wanna replace Sean Grande with Mike Goldberg. Hbu? Sean Grande is terrible.

    • Jason Floyd

The person that would make that call would be Scott Fishman. He is the executive producer for Bellator. He is the person that made the call to bring in Sean Grande to replace Sean Wheelock. If Bellator were to make a change, there is a couple of factors to think about. A) What is Grande’s contract situation and does the contract call for Bellator to pay him out if they were to terminate him before the end of the contract. B) Are they willing to pay the type of salary that Mike Goldberg should or would be asking for.
