The heavyweight title will be on the line in the main event of LFA 38 on Friday, April 27 in Minnesota as Maurice “The Pirate” Greene will challenge Jeff Hughes for the LFA title on the fight card coming from the The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Greene (5-1) enters this matchup on a four fight winning streak and is coming off a title fight victory at No Mercy 6 against Parnell Davis in September of last year. During his winning streak, all of the victories have come by stoppage and three of them are by submission.

I had a chance to speak with Greene on Thursday about his upcoming fight against the reigning and defending LFA heavyweight champion. Along with previewing the matchup, he talked to me about being in fashion design, why he gave himself the nickname “The Pirate,” and his goals in combat sports.
