Jose Aldo once again retained the UFC featherweight title as he defeated Chan Sung Jung in the fourth round by TKO in the main event of UFC 163.
In the opening round, Aldo was able to use his punches to keep Jung from coming forward like Jung has done in his previous bouts.
Jung appeared very cautious in the opening round and not having his usually wide open attack.
The second and third rounds were mirrors of the opening round with the exception of Aldo taking the fight to the ground and using ground strikes to score on the judges scorecards.
In what would end up being the final round, Jung separated his shoulder after throwing a combination and Aldo went in on the attack once he realize his opponent was hurt. Aldo immediately dropped Jung with a punch and finished the fight on the ground with strikes.
Aldo (23-1) has now won 16 fights in a row and this was his fifth defense of the UFC featherweight title. The next challenger for his belt is not determined at this time and a move up to the lightweight division could be in his future.
