The UFC 170 fight card on February 22nd in Las Vegas has two new additions as Demian Maia meets Rory MacDonald in a welterweight bout and Rafael dos Anjos faces Rustam Khabilov in a lightweight bout.
Both fight bookings were announced by the UFC on Friday evening and both bouts are likely to be placed on the main card broadcast on pay-per-view.
UFC 170 takes place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on February 22nd and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as Rashad Evans meets Daniel Cormier.
Maia (18-5) is coming off a split decision defeat to Jake Shields are UFC Fight Night 29. The defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and was his first defeat as a UFC welterweight. MacDonald (15-2) will also enter this fight off a defeat as he was defeated last month by Robbie Lawler. The defeat snapped a five fight winning streak and was his first defeat since 2010.
Dos Anjos (20-6) is currently on a five fight winning streak and is coming off a decision victory against Donald Cerrone. His last four wins have come by decision and his last stoppage victory was against Kamal Shalorus last year. Khabilov (17-1) entered the UFC late last year and has won his first three fights in the organization. He is currently on a six fight winning streak and three of those wins have come in the first round.
