Quinton “Rampage” Jackson tweeted on Tuesday night that he would be facing Glover Teixeira at UFC on FOX 6 and the fight has been made official by the UFC.
The fight will take place on the main card on UFC on FOX 6, which takes place on January 26th from the United Center in Chicago.
Jackson (32-10) is currently on a two fight losing streak and only has one fight left on his UFC contract. The former UFC light heavyweight champion is expected to leave the UFC after this fight and has talked about wanting to fight Teixeira.
His last fight took place at UFC 144 against Ryan Bader, which he lost by unanimous decision. He entered the fight with a knee injury, which cause said was the reason why he missed weight for the the fight.
Teixeira (19-2) has won his last 17 fights and has started his UFC career with back to back victories.
His UFC debut came at UFC 146 against Kyle Kingsbury, which was a submission victory in the first round and is coming off a TKO victory at UFC 153 against Fabio Maldonado.
UFC on FOX 6 takes place on January 26th from the United Center in Chicago and will be headlined by Demetrious Johnson defending the UFC flyweight title for the first time against John Dodson.
