An undisclosed injury has forced Alexander Gustafsson to pull out of his UFC Fight Night 69 main event bout against Glover Teixiera and women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will now headline the card as she is challenged by Jessica Penne.
The UFC announced the injury and new main event on Friday morning.
UFC Fight Night 69 will come from the O2 World Berlin on June 20 and the event will be streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
Jedrzejczyk (9-0) won the UFC title in March when she defeated Carla Esparza by TKO at UFC 185. She is 3-0 in the UFC and her previous two wins in the promotion came by decision. Penne (12-2) has won back to back fights and won her official UFC debut against Randa Markos at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. She was scheduled to fight later this month against Juliana Lima and the UFC will find a new opponent for Lima.
