Coming up tonight in St. Louis will be Shamrock FC 273 and the main card will feature a lightweight bout as Sam Tamayo will look for his fifth victory when he meets Reggie Evans on the fight card coming from the Lumiere Casino.
Tamayo (4-2) was scheduled to return to the Shamrock FC cage back in January, but the fight was canceled when his opponent pulled out of the fight. Tonight will mark his first fight since December and he recently told The MMA Report that he wants to show everyone tonight at Shamrock FC 273 that he is growing as a fighter.
“Basically, I want to go in there and I want to showcase my skills,” Tamayo said. “Just like every fight, I want to show that I am growing as a fighter. I want to see that the time I am putting into the gym and all of the hard work I am putting in. I want to showcase it basically. I want to know that my time isn’t wasted. That I am growing as a person and a mixed martial artist. This fight, I want to go out there and I want to have fun with it.”
