The medical suspensions for Bellator 159 have been released by the Kansas Athletic Commission and David Rickels has been handed a 60 day suspension following his knockout lost against Melvin Guillard in the co-main event of the fight card.
Kansas Athletic Commission Executive Director Adam Roorbach released the medical suspensions on Monday to The MMA Report after they were requested.
Bellator 159 took place on Friday night at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas and was headlined by Joe Taimanglo scoring one of the biggest upsets in Bellator history as he defeated Darrion Caldwell by submission.
The complete Bellator 159 medical suspensions are below:
- David Rickels: Suspended 60 days (KO).
- Bruna Vargas: Suspended 45 days.
- Guilherme Viana: Suspended 60 days (KO).
- L.J. Hermreck: Suspended 30 days (TKO).
