UFC featherweight Chas Skelly and Titan FC bantamweight Jose Torres have hired weight management specialist Louis Giordano to handle their weight management for their upcoming fights.
The announcement of Skelly and Torres hiring Giordano was announced in a press release on Thursday.
Skelly is currently on a four fight winning streak and he will be facing Darren Elkins at UFC 196 on March 5 in Las Vegas. Just like fellow Giordano client Johny Hendricks, Skelly recently left Team Takedown and he actually worked with Giordano for his post weigh-in meals for his last fight.
“I have talked to Lou off and on for a few months now and he actually assisted me on my post weigh in meals for my last fight against Kevin Souza in Brazil on November 7,” said Skelly. “Lou came off as someone who not only has the necessary tools to help me succeed, but as a person who cares about the athletes he works with. Knowing I can contact him at anytime with questions or concerns made this decision an easy one.”
Torres will be making his professional debut on March 4 at Titan FC 37 against Jorge Dominguez. He was signed by Titan FC last year after being a two-time UMMAF National Champion and two-time IMMAF World Champion. He has trained at multiple gyms over the last six months including KHK MMA in Bahrain.
“Lou and I clicked during our first conversation, we have similar philosophies when it comes to weight management,” Torres explained. “I truly like how he focuses on a lifestyle change rather than a diet. After the first week I noticed a significant change in the way I felt. Everything I eat is measured and allows my body to remain strong and healthy at all times. I am looking forward to becoming a complete fighter as I prepare for my professional debut.”
