A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 199 on June 4 in California as Dustin Poirier will meet Bobby Green and the bout may end up being one of the five fights on the pay-per-view portion of the event.
The fight booking was confirmed by the UFC following a report from the Los Angeles Daily Times.
UFC 199 will come from The Forum in Inglewood, California and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Luke Rockhold defends the middleweight title against former champion Chris Weidman.
Poirier (19-4) returned to lightweight last year and has won three in a row. His most recent win came in January as he defeated Joe Duffy by unanimous decision at UFC 195. Green (23-6) enters this fight following a lost to Edson Barboza in late 2014. The defeat snapped an eight fight winning streak and he was out all of 2015 due to injuries.
The current UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Weidman II fight card is below.
Luke Rockhold (15-2) vs. Chris Weidman (13-1)
Dominick Cruz (21-1) vs. Urijah Faber (33-8)
