Former WSOF lightweight title challenger Luis Palomino is dropping down to the featherweight division at WSOF 31 as he will meet former WSOF bantamweight title challenger Sheymon Moraes.

The fight booking was announced by the promotion in a press release on Tuesday along with John Howard vs. Thiago Meller and Chris Barnett vs. Justin Willis.

WSOF 31 will come from the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut on June 17 and will be headlined by a title fight as Blagoy Ivanov defends the heavyweight title against Josh Copeland.

Palomino (24-12) is returning to the 145 pound division and is coming off a TKO defeat at WSOF 25 against Brian Foster in the semifinal of the one-night, lightweight tournament. He is 3-3 in the WSOF and all of those wins have come by knockout. Moraes (8-1) will enter this fight following a TKO win against Robbie Peralta in December and is 2-1 in the promotion. Five of his eight wins have come by TKO/KO and two of those wins have come in the first round.

The current WSOF 31: Ivanov vs. Copeland fight card is below.

Blagoy Ivanov (13-1, 1NC) vs. Josh Copeland (13-1)
Jason High (19-5) vs. Mike Ricci (11-4)
John Howard (23-12) vs. Thiago Meller (20-7)
Luis Palomino (24-12) vs. Sheymon Moraes (8-1)

Luis Palomino is a beast in the cage. The WSOF would be wise to put him in a main event or co-main event, regardless if it is a title fight. Luis Palomino style draws viewers. I really hope that the WSOF starts doing a better job of promoting some of their more exciting fighters, champions and none champions.

Co-Main Event of WSOF 31 is Jason High vs. Mike Ricci, which is likely a number one contender fight in the WSOF lightweight division.
