Bobby Lashley vs. Josh Appelt official as co-main event of Bellator 162

The co-main event of Bellator 162 on October 21 in Tennessee is now official as Bobby Lashley will look to continue his winning streak against Josh Appelt.

The fight booking was officially announced by Bellator in a press release on Monday.

Bellator 162 will come from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as former Bellator champion Alexander Shlemenko returns to the promotion to meet Kendall Grove.

Lashley (14-2) is currently on a seven fight winning streak and his last four wins have come in Bellator. His most recent victory came in November of last year as he defeated James Thompson by TKO in 54-seconds. Appelt (12-5) has won back to back fights and is coming off a TKO win against Roy Broughton in January. Ten of his twelve wins have come by stoppage and he has won three of his four fights in Bellator.
