Michael Graves removed from UFC Fight Night 100 following arrest in Atlanta

The UFC has removed welterweight Michael Graves from next month’s UFC Fight Night 100 after Graves was arrested this past weekend in Atlanta on a misdemeanor battery charge.

The announcement of Graves being removed from the upcoming fight card was announced by the UFC on early Monday evening.

“The UFC organization is aware that Michael Graves was arrested over the weekend on a misdemeanor battery charge,” the UFC said in a statement. “The organization takes this situation seriously and is in the process of gathering more information. Graves has been removed from his scheduled bout on Nov. 19 as a result of the pending legal matter.”

Graves was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department on Saturday and was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery against a family member. He was scheduled to meet Sergio Morares on the UFC Fight Night 100 card on November 19 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and the UFC is now working on finding a new opponent for Moraes.
