The main event of Friday’s Bellator 181 will be a trilogy bout as Brandon Girtz meets Derek Campos in a catchweight bout of 158 pounds on the fight card coming from the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
Girtz (14-6) took this fight on three weeks notice and will be looking to snap a two fight losing streak. Both of his recent defeats have come by decision and this will be his first fight since losing to Fernando Gonzalez at Bellator 174 in March.
During last week’s episode of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Girtz was a guest on the podcast to preview his fight on Friday at Bellator 181 against Campos and explained why this is a catchweight bout of 158 pounds.
