The sixth episode of The Ultimate Fighter 23 premiered last night on FS1 and the show featured Eric Spicely moving into the semifinals of the light heavyweight tournament with a decision victory over Elias Urbina.
According to Nielson sources, the show drew 444,000 viewers in the preliminary ratings (Live+SD) and this is up 23 percent from last weeks viewership of 361,000 viewers in the preliminary ratings. In comparison to episode six of last spring’s season of the UFC reality show, Wednesday’s episode is up 25 percent from episode six of The Ultimate Fighter 21 (353,000).
When it came to the sports competition on cable, the night was won by the NBA Eastern Conference Final between the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. That game drew an average audience of 5.462 million and the NHL Western Conference Final between the St. Louis Blues and the San Jose Sharks had 1.425 million viewers.
The +3 DVR viewership for Wednesday night’s episode on The Ultimate Fighter 23 will be released by Nielson on Tuesday and in the fifth episode, the viewership went up 73 percent from the preliminary ratings (Live+SD) to the +3 DVR number.
