UFC 200 took place this past weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and the televised preliminary card on FS1 featured Julianna Pena making her case for a title shot in the women’s bantamweight division with a decision victory over former title challenger Cat Zingano.
According to Nielson sources, the televised preliminary card on FS1 (8:31-10:00p ET) averaged 1,786,000 viewers and this is the third most watched pay-per-view preliminary card in FS1 history (UFC 194, UFC 196). The UFC 200 preliminary card started late on FS1 due to the baseball game going to extra innings so the first 31 minutes of the televised preliminary card aired on FS2 with 582,000 viewers.
When it comes to the peak viewership of the preliminary card, that came in the 9:45-10:00 p.m. ET quarter hour with 2,046,000 viewers. Among A18-49, it is now the most-watched UFC PPV prelims ever with 1,084,000 viewers. FS1 was the most-watched ad supported cable network among A18-49 for the 8- 10p ET and Post Fight Show (1:01-2:30a ET) drew 244,000 viewers.
When it came to the sports competition on Saturday night, the UFC card went up against MLB baseball (2.1 million, FOX), Olympic Trials (3.441 million, NBC) and NASCAR (3.192 million, NBCSN). Prior to the airing of the UFC 200 preliminary card on FS1, the MLB game drew 901,000 viewers and the Women’s Final at Wimbledon earlier in the day (9a ET) drew 1.604 million viewers.
The UFC will return to FS1 tomorrow for UFC Fight Night 91: McDonald vs. Lineker and the main card will begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
