Bellator 173 took place this past Friday at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland and was headlined by former Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary scoring a stoppage victory in the second round against Brett McDermott.
When it comes to the television ratings for the fight card, it was revealed on Monday by Nielson that the main card on Spike delivered 557,000 viewers and Spike TV announced earlier today that the fight card came in with 618,000 viewers in the +3 DVR ratings. Along with announcing the average viewership, Spike confirmed that the peak viewership of the broadcast came during the main event with 856,000 viewers.
Bellator will return to Spike TV on Friday night for Bellator 174 and the event will be headlined by the inaugural women’s featherweight title fight as Marloes Coenen will meet Julia Budd on the fight card coming from the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
